Through many years of nursing experience I have had the opportunity to work with some phenomenal medical experts. Here are a few things I have picked up from their expertise.
Matthew 4: 2-4 After he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was hungry. Then the tempter approached him and said, “If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread.”
He answered, “It is written: Man must not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.”
Everything you do from eating to sleeping and everything in between burns calories. It is just a matter of getting our body to do what we want through knowledge, practice and discipline.
1 Timothy 4:8 For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come.
Everyone of us everyday face various obstacles. They may disguise themselves as ways of breaking free from reality. This includes the movies we watch, music we listen to, and people we allow to influence us. Yes, I say allow... Because at the end of the day the choice is ours. That is the beauty of Christ and God. They do not force us to do anything. They want us to choose them over evil. I encourage you to surround yourself in Gods grace and continuously look for the beauty and grace in every storm or situation.
1 Corinthians 3:16-17 Don't you know that you yourselves are God's Temple and that God's Spirit dwells in your midst. If anyone destroys God's Temple, God will destroy that person; for God's temple is sacred, and you together are that temple.
We are all human with fleshy desires of acceptance and significant influence. Its the human condition and one of Satan's greatest tools. The fact of the matter is that we are all divinely and equally loved, although uniquely and beautifully created. There is not a single person on earth whose life is more meaningful than yours. They may have more money, fame, prosperity, yes. But at the end of the day none of that matters. You can't take any of it with you so the devil drives us bonkers in attempts to cultivate more and more here on earth while we miss the fact that our lives are measured on the influences and impacts we left. Not the materialistic things we accumulated. For me personally I knew the teachings of Christ and what he wanted, but I did not know how to put my emotions aside to see the bigger picture. These are some Buddha principles that helped direct me in piecing together what God wanted me to do and how to do it. There are also some tips in here I have learned in my process of growth that have helped me regain my peace, compassion, and forgiveness even in the darkest circumstances.
Matthew 5: 43-44 You have heard it said love your neighbor and hate your enemy. But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.
Although, it is important to have a support system in life to help guide protect and define you always remember we are all God's children. He does not want a single one of us to parish, but we all make mistakes as well. If you ground yourself in Christ's teaching's and God's Commandments' I can not promise you will never sin, again. But, I can promise you will understand the love, mercy and grace he has for all of us and be able to see things more peacefully, compassionately, and gracefully. At the end of the day in this hard adventure called life the one thing I know is that even in the darkness your shadow will leave you. The only one who is with you every second of everyday is the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
Deuteronomy 31:8 The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you or forsake you. Do not be afraid, do not be discouraged.
